Hosted by BITS alongside the Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub (BDIH) and the Ministry of Communications and Innovation (MCI).
The National ICT Awards 2026 celebrate ingenuity and forward-thinking brilliance across Botswana's technology landscape. They shine a spotlight on the trailblazers who push the boundaries of possibility — transforming ideas into reality and delivering ground-breaking solutions.
The Awards culminate at the National ICT Summit & Awards Gala on 6 November 2026 at BA ISAGO University, Botswana's premier annual celebration of ICT excellence, bringing together over 500 stakeholders from government, industry, and academia.

Digital Transformation Service of the Year
For an organisation that has achieved outstanding results through digitalising internal processes or services.
ICT Start-up of the Year
For early-stage companies (under 5 years) showing exceptional innovation, growth and market potential.
Best Digital Service — Private & Public Sector
For government, parastatals and private companies delivering exceptional online services.
ICT Pioneer Award
Lifetime achievement — recognising individuals with long-standing contributions to Botswana's ICT development.
ICT Educator of the Year
Basic and Tertiary Education — honouring individuals or institutions driving excellence in ICT teaching and skills development.
Cybersecurity Excellence Award
For initiatives that demonstrate innovation and leadership in protecting digital systems.
Youth in ICT Award
For young individuals with exceptional talent, innovation and leadership in ICT.
Women in ICT Award
For women — young and old — who have demonstrated outstanding achievement, leadership and innovation in ICT in Botswana.
CIO of the Year Award
For outstanding ICT leadership and organisational impact.
Minister's Special Recognition Award
For extraordinary contributions to Botswana's ICT sector, chosen by the Minister.
ICT Media Excellence Award
For journalism, reporting or campaigns that promote ICT adoption and awareness.

Nominations close. All application forms and supporting materials must be submitted.
