ICT Professional Self-Regulation Stakeholders Consultative Meetings

21

Years Of Advocacy

The Botswana Information Technology Society (BITS) is convening national stakeholder consultative meetings to shape Botswana’s ICT Professional Self-Regulation Framework. These engagements bring together government, industry, academia, regulators, employers, and ICT practitioners to validate proposed standards, ethics, professional practice, and accountability mechanisms for the ICT sector. The consultations aim to ensure that the framework is inclusive, locally relevant, and aligned with national development priorities and global best practice. Inputs gathered will directly inform the final policy and legislative proposals that define the future of ICT professionalism in Botswana. This process strengthens trust, protects the public interest, and elevates ICT as a regulated and respected profession.
